Auburn Harrison has been named Assistant Vice President of Community Relations for the Northern Nevada branches of One Nevada Credit Union. Harrison will be the new spokesperson for the credit union in Northern Nevada, and will be working to develop brand awareness and attract new members for the financial institution through community relations, philanthropic efforts and key sponsorships. One Nevada has immediate plans to expand in the Northern Nevada region, with a goal of opening at least two new branches in the near future.
Harrison joins One Nevada after spending more than three years with Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations. There, she helped to establish brand identity and increase recognition of the 501c3 non-profit organization’s poverty services, including the well-known soup kitchen, St. Vincent’s Dining Room. Prior to that, Auburn Harrison was an on-air reporter at local television station, KOLO 8 News Now for five years. She received her Master’s Degree in Writing from University of Nevada, Reno in 2012. Prior to joining the commercial television ranks, she spent five years in the US Navy as an enlisted broadcast journalist.
